Inside Out Therapy is primarily a paediatric Speech and Language Therapy practice although we also offer support for young adults.
We offer tailored Speech and Language Therapy support for a wide range of speech, language and communication needs (SLCN):
Attention and listening difficulty
Poor understanding of language
Late talkers
Limited vocabulary
Word finding difficulty (that ‘it’s on the tip of my tongue’ feeling!)
Difficulty structuring words and sentences (spoken grammar)
Higher level language difficulty (e.g. with inference, prediction, figurative language)
Poor auditory memory
Delayed or disordered speech sound production (including verbal dyspraxia)
Stammering (also called ‘stuttering’ or ‘dysfluency’)
Selective mutism
Poor phonological awareness
Social communication / interaction difficulty
Many of the children we see are diagnosed with the following conditions, with which we have experience:
Temporary hearing loss (e.g. caused by glue ear)
Permanent hearing loss (mild-profound)
Auditory Processing Disorder (APD / CAPD)
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Specific Learning Difficulty, including Dyslexia and Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder (ADD/ADHD)
